rambi speedway
hey guys ,i live in myrtle beach...where exactly
was rambi located?or is it what is now the
current mb speedway

Hey Alan, --- Rambi Raceway was opened in 1958
as a 1/2 mile dirt track, and ran up into the
1966 season. After that it was closed for a
period, sold, and re-opened as Myrtle Beach
Speedway. So yes, it was on the same site as the
current Myrtle Beach Speedway.

Rex also won a race at Asheviile in 1965 in that
beautiful gold car outunning the Ingram
bros.Bob, Bosco and Dickie Plemmons.

My Father "Bill Widenhouse" won a Championship
Trophy in 1955 for the Modified Div, I have the
trophy , I find that some of the results are far
off as I remember it , All the racing sites on
here seam to not have all the information
correct , I have hundreds of news paper clipping
that show otherwise , If anyone is interested in
the real stories about some of these Old time
drivers email me and let me know ,
